Founded by sisters Devi, Shevon and Renuka Singh, Lumina Entertainment is a production company that combines decades of professional experience in entertainment, finance and social issue sectors.

DEVI SINGH  PRESIDENT

Devi Singh has produced more than 30 films in the past 10 years and has acted as a senior executive on numerous domestic and international productions. She is an MBA graduate of Simon Fraser University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from UBC. Prior to launching Lumina Entertainment, Devi was the Vice President of Production for one of Canada's busiest production studios and oversaw the development, financing, and production of an average of 10 films a year. She has been involved in an array of development and financing scenarios, including single-picture deals, studio slates and international co-productions.

RENUKA SINGH  DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

With more than eight years in the finance sector and a BBA in Business Management, Renuka brings with her the ability to collaborate and strategize on story development with the focus on powerful female narratives. Always learning, Renuka has a knack for research and a sharp instinct for adding bold elements to our stories. She has been Associate Producer and co-writer on the film, Past Never Dies. Her horror screenplay, "Troubled Child", was a Quarterfinalist in ScreenCraft's 2019 Horror Screenplay Competition. Currently, Renuka is honing her screenwriting craft as a Scripted Series Lab 2020 participant with the Pacific Screenwriting Program led by seasoned show-runner Rob Cooper (Stargate Atlantis, Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, etc).

SHEVON SINGH  HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT

Shevon Singh is an alumni of the WGC & Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters Program and was the first female writer to win the Western Canada Division in 2013.  She has since written for shows such as Netflix’s “Reboot: The Guardian Code”, “Van Helsing,” OutTV’s “The Switch,” and CBC's "Ashbridge." She also has a background in health and advocacy for marginalized groups, working as a frontline nurse at InSite: Supervised Injection Site and STOP HIV/AIDS team in Vancouver that has taught her the value of perseverance and collaboration. As Head of Development, Shevon seeks out stories that are fun, diverse, and daring.
